Raising good horses and mules is a mixture of pedigrees, patience, luck and conscious effort to avoid as many pitfalls along the way as possible. I have been in enough horse wrecks over the years that I am more than a little concerned about temperament and disposition in my mares and the studs they are bred to. Our mares are gentle, easy to handle, most are broke to ride and we know what we are working with before they are ever bred. Once the colts are on the ground we are continually working with them to insure they are gentle, people oriented and ready to train for a useful life.
